Practice Typing Alphabet Keys

Practice typing alphabet keys. The alphabet speeds makes sure you type every letter of the alphabet accurately. You will be able to recognize your weaknesses with certain keys and correct it through practice. If you recognize that you are making too many errors whilst typing a certain letter you need to keep practicing that letter and surrounding letters around it until you can type it error free and quickly.

Do not wait until you are employed as a Typist to practice the alphabet keys  in order to get a smooth flow of your typing quickly and accurately.  The best time to start is now before you are called to work in the office.

Practice Typing Alphabet -   Tips

Why not put aside some time and practice typing these sentences below.

Type the sentence from the alphabet list below. When you are finished typing look for errors and circle them.  Type them 3 times - once for practice, once for speed and once for accuracy.

Copy and Paste each alphabet sentence on a Word program page in order to practice typing the alphabet smoothly from the screen.

Try not to look at the keyboard to find the letters of the alphabet.  At first you may find yourself fumbling for the keys or tying the wrong keys but that's ok as you settle down your brain and fingers will connect.

Look straight ahead on your computer screen or close your eyes.  Type slowly and eventually you will build your speed.  Take your time.  Patience is the key.

Practice Typing Alphabet Q, A and Z

When you are typing the alphabet Q, A or Z remember:

The little finger on the left hand is for the each of them Q, A and Z keys. 

Remember Q and Z are  reach keys. Q is located above the A key.  Z is located below the A key.

Note:   This is easy for you to practice as the little finger on the left hand is used to type q, a and z 

Practice Typing Alphabet WSX

When you practice typing WSX remember the finger to use.  You are using the ring finger on your left hand to type all three keys w, s and x.  W and X are reach keys. Look at the  keys until you are acquainted with where W, S and X is located so that it can be easier to press them lightly as you type and find them quickly using the ring finger on your left hand.

Practice Typing The Alphabet E, D and C

Typing E, D and C use your D finger.  This is one of the home keys fingers. It is your middle finger on your left hand.

Typing E, D and C is also easy because D is one of your home keys. E and C are reach keys.  It is located on the left side of the keyboard.  Use your middle finger on your left hand to type E, D and C.

Practice Typing Alphabet F, R, V, T, G and B

To type F, R, V, T, G and B you have to reach for R, T, V, G and B letters using your F finger.  F is located on the left side of the keyboard.  Use your pointer finger on your left hand and reach for the letters  R, T, G, V and B then place your left pointer finger back on your home key f.

Practice Typing Alphabet Y, H, N, U, M and J

To type Y, H, N, U, J and M use your pointer finger on your right hand.  It is the same finger on the home row that you type j with. Y, H, N, U and M are reach keys.  Reach for Y, H, N, U and M with your pointer finger on your right hand then place your pointer finger back on the home key j.

Practice Typing Alphabet K , I and (comma),

To practice typing K, I and , you have to use your k finger which is on your right hand.  It is your middle finger on your right hand.  K is one of your home keys.  I and (comma), are reach keys.  To type them use the K finger up for I and down for , (comma).

 

Practice Typing Alphabet O, L and . (full stop)

Practice typing O, L and . (full stop) use your ring finger on your right hand. L key is part of your home keys.  To type O and , (full stop) reach for the O upwards and full stop downwards with your ring finger .

Practice alphabet keys as often as you can to improve your speed and produce error free documents. When you are satisfied with each letter move on to type other letters until you practiced typing the entire alphabet quickly and accurately.

Practice typing alphabet P, ; (semi colon) and (slash) /

To type p, (semi colon); and (slash) / you have to use your little finger on your right hand.  Your semicolon is part of your home keys.  To type ; (semi colon) and (slash) / you have to reach for p upward and / (slash) downward.

Now that you have looked closely at the keys on the keyboard place your fingers on the home row.  Make sure g and h are in the middle of the home row away from your pointer fingers and you are seeing them.

Take your time and practice these alphabet keys slowly then your speed will build gradually.
